Pomelo (Citrus grandis (L.) Osbeck) or Shaddock.originally from the Indo China region and has been cultivated over many hundreds of years.

Fruits are large up to 20 cm in diameter with a thick light green or pale yellow rind. The shape varies from round to oblate, the flesh maybe white, pink or red. The juice is sweet, acid without the bitterness of grapefruit.

The fruit can be eaten and used like a grape-fruit, because of the thick skin of the pomelo, it can be store well.
